Exploring Encaustics 2012

I’ve been too busy to write, but we had a great time in the Encaustic Winter Workshop! Here, Mikaela is sharing her work with the other students, a time the students looked forward to as they became progressively more comfortable with encaustic painting and their own unique style/insight/presentations.
Twice a day, in our 5 hour sessions, for two weeks, the Oberlin College students invented, explored, developed and shared encaustic techniques with each other.
We had a great time and learned so much from each other. What an inventive group. I’m off to Tucson; I’ll write more when I return. See ya!
