Each of the Luminous Encaustics Workshops are a personal Journey in Creative Exploration with waxy play and guided instruction.

The Encaustic Wax, with it’s delicious aroma, unleashes our senses, and sets us into a Journey of the Heart.

In the studio, I am your guide, and will lead you into a deepening of your work, setting you onto the path of unwinding and freeing your own creative vision.

Together we’ll unleash freedom through inspiring our senses with playful exploration, make discoveries about ourselves, expand ourselves, and allow the waxy play to work its magic, grounding us with its texture and aroma, helping us to embody ourselves as artists and creators, until both our work and ourselves our transformed to something new.

We will dig in with color theory, and elements of design, while developing our creative vision, through organically evolving choices, which will bring clarity to the feel of our work, all while emphasizing play, mark making, and intuitive, dynamic interaction with the materials. As our work expands, so will we – and vice versa ;).

You will receive feedback in a nurturing environment, within a community of other explorers. You’ll find yourself giving and receiving encouragement to and from each other, growing in each other’s work and methods.

You will find spiritual refreshment and creative support while stretching out on your weekend journey, and you’ll be surrounded by other explorers just like you.

Back when I would teach from my studio, there were large windows, with a view of a pond and surrounding fields. My workshops were always small, so each explorer had lots of elbow room to create.

Nowadays I am open to the possibility of joining in with other creative teaching explorations. Contact me if you want to collaborate! Or if you want to supplement your creative endeavor with some waxy fun. Electrical outlets are required.
